EEAB - ECOLE D'ETÉ D'ARCHITECTURE DE BELGIQUE 2023

—FINAL DAY—

[ Index ]

A great triumph for our students, another step forward for the Round Table for Architecture!
A day of friendship and architectural joy under the aegis of tradition: thanks to all our friends and partners!

Behold... the Summer School for Traditional Architecture and Craftmanship!

That's what WE did during four intense weeks! And even more, as you will see this trailer shows about the coming 3 workshop weeks too. Which you can read about from the general index page on this site, or consult the 'total gallery' on the TRA website.
But now...

Buildings of Kasteel Mariahove in Bellem, Aalter.
Everything is ready and set in the elegant meeting room, which soon will be crowded!

The elegant twin dépandance buildings hosted respectively the exhibition and the presentation of the works of the students. They are the ideal cornice for our event as charming and historical buildings in a secluded place.

The works of the students were everywhere to be admired, even in the orangery where the final banquet and ceremony took place.

An amazing jury and presentation!

And then the huge banquet!

...at the end of which the students were awarded with their certificate!

The whole class if very happy and cheerful, teachers and tutor and enthusiasts!

So this is the class 2023 of the four-weeks-long program of the Summer School for Architecture and Craftmanship of Bruges!
By the look in their eyes and their smiles you can get everything you need!

You can find all the projects on the dedicated page on the TRA website.

We said 'thank you' to William Adji & Pauline Deschodt, violinist and cellist of Le Fonds l'instrument du musicien from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels...here you can listen to their wonderful music:

We also thank the Van Caloen Foundation, their family and the wonderful castle with dépendance and incredible park. Here there's the orangery where the banquet and the closing ceremony took place, seen from our drone:

...and the group picture with EVERYONE! Well...find your friends!

Let's close this triumphant chapter with the testimony of our students, that can testify you how useful the Summer School of Architecture was for them!
As the website of the Round Table gets more and more advanced, the need of a blogging from this site become less needed and will probably slack down in the future. We will still remain the unofficial voice of the Round Table, though.

See you at the next edition in 2024 with a lot of surprises!
But it's not over yet for us... there are THREE more weeks of hands-on workshops to come!
